Joey Logano and the No. 22 Shell-Pennzoil Ford Fusion qualified sixth for Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series event at Pocono Raceway. Logano toured the 2.5-mile tri-oval in 50.111 seconds (179.601 mph). In the first race of the year at Pocono, qualifying was rained out and Logano started 21st.

“That was a pretty good lap for our Shell-Pennzoil Ford,” said Logano, who was fifth in Friday’s practice. “The top two guys were really fast and I don’t think we would have had anything for them, but we are starting up front which is huge here. In the June race, we started 21st and had to fight our way up front. Sunday, we will already be starting up front so we can fight our way to the lead.”

The GoBowling.com 400 will air live at 1:00 p.m. ET on ESPN on Sunday afternoon. Race coverage will also be broadcast live on the Motor Racing Network and Sirius Satellite Radio Channel 90.
