Joey Logano and the No. 22 Shell-Pennzoil Ford Fusion will start Saturday’s Duck Commander 500 from the sixth position after posting a lap time of 28.071 seconds and a speed of 192.369 mph in Friday’s qualifying session at Texas Motor Speedway.

“I felt like we were better in race trim than we were in qualifying trim the whole time,” said Logano. “So we kind of finished as expected for qualifying. It feels really close, but I think we’re alright and we have a decent starting spot. Todd told me we won from 10th last year, and we’ve qualified 10th the last few times we’ve been here, so we’re improving.”

The Duck Commander 500 gets underway at 7:30 p.m. EDT Saturday with live coverage provided by FOX beginning with a pre-race show at 7 p.m.
