Last season, Logano had finishes of fourth and eighth at Texas.
  • CLIMBING THE WINS AND POLES LIST: With his pole and win at California, Logano continued his climb up the all-time lists in the record books. Logano’s 10th-career win ties him with Jason Keller, Bobby Labonte, Robert Pressley and Tony Stewart in the record books. His pole was the 18th of his career and put him in a tie for ninth on the all-time Nationwide Series list, tied with Tommy Houston and Joe Nemechek. Logano has now also won a NASCAR Nationwide Series event and earned a Nationwide Series pole for five straight years since he began racing in the series back in 2008.
  • BACK TO THE 20: This weekend, Logano switch back to the No. 20 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota after spending the last couple of races behind the wheel of the No. 18. Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Denny Hamlin will be back competing at Texas in the No. 18.

From the Cockpit:

Joey Logano Quotes: “Texas is a really important event for me for several reasons. First, I’ve wanted to win there for a long time because it is home for GameStop’s corporate headquarters, and there would be nothing cooler than to be able to get them a win right there in Texas. They normally bring a lot of people to this race, so to be able to celebrate with them in Victory Lane would be awesome. And we are coming off of a great race at California, and Mark Martin ran really well in our cars at Vegas, so I think we are making some huge gains on our intermediate program and we want to keep that going in Texas.

“We’ve had a pretty good season so far. If things worked out like they should have, we really should already have two wins. But I’m pretty happy with our performance. We have been good on the restrictor plate tracks, short tracks and intermediate tracks. Now, we just need to continue to go out there and perform. Texas has always been a pretty good track for me, but I’ve just never been able to seal the deal. We are going to go out there and try our best.”

From the Pit Box:

Adam Stevens Quotes: “Looking forward to heading back to Texas. We had a really good car last time out at California, so we need to go back out there and do it again this weekend. This tire combination was a struggle for us last year. I think we are getting it figured out though. Texas is really bumpy and really fast. The top groove has come in over the past few years. You have to have a car capable of using the whole track to make passes which requires some setup compromises. The race pace is usually quite a bit slower too than the practice pace, which presents some challenges.”
