Joey Logano and the No. 22 Shell-Pennzoil Ford Fusion will start Sunday’s Sylvania 300 from the seventh position after posting a lap time of 27.354 seconds and a speed of 139.241 mph in Friday afternoon’s qualifying session at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
“It was just OK,” said Logano. “We weren’t as good as we thought we would be and thought we would have been a little faster than where we ended up. I had to make another run there in the first segment to get in the second and was just a little too free. We’ve got to find a little more speed here.”
The Sylvania 300 gets underway at 2 p.m. EDT Sunday with live coverage provided by ESPN beginning with a pre-race show at 1 p.m.
