Joey Logano and the No. 22 AutoTrader.com team fought back from a crash in practice to qualify in the sixth position for Sunday afternoon’s Camping World RV Sales 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Logano had a left rear tire go flat just 13 laps into practice on Friday afternoon, sending his No. 22 AutoTrader.com Ford Fusion into the turn one wall. The team worked hard to get the backup car ready and was able to turn in an impressive qualifying effort. Logano was the second quickest in the first session of knockout qualifying and then turned in the sixth fastest time, a 27.839-second lap, in the final session.

“We will take it,” said Logano of his qualifying lap. “I kind of feel like I hurt our team a little when I messed up my first qualifying run locking up the left front into three and I went way up the race track and had to make the second run (in the first round). I don’t think the third run was any better with tires. Knowing that, it frustrates me. I felt like maybe I could have ran a .70 if I didn’t have to make that second run in the first session. Overall, for a backup car and making two laps on it before qualifying, I am proud of where we ended up. I just wanted more.”

The Camping World RV Sales 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway will air live Sunday, July 13 at 1:00 p.m. ET on TNT. Race coverage will also be broadcast live on the Performance Racing Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Channel 90.
